Product Information
Best for Stress and Pain Relief:
There is research that supports CBD’s role in reducing anxiety and promoting a sense of calm.
Studies have also shown that CBD can help relieve pain. 2021 research suggests that part of this may be due to a placebo effect, and part may be a pharmacological effect.
A full-spectrum product like this one may offer a benefit known as the “entourage effect.” This is a theory that taking all of the compounds of the hemp plant together, including both CBD and THC, is more effective than just CBD alone.
About Charlotte’s Web:
Charlotte’s Web is one of the oldest and most well-known cannabis brands, with a range of CBD products. However, the company’s reputation isn’t as great as some other leading brands.
They’re currently involved in two class-action suits over product labeling and potency. Additionally, in 2017, they received a warning letter from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for labeling their products as supplements and posting customer testimonials making health claims on their website.
Since then, they’ve changed the way they label their products, and they include disclaimers on their site, clearly stating that their products aren’t meant to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any diseases.
Although Charlotte’s Web used to have an A rating and accreditation with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), they’re no longer accredited and their rating has dropped to an F. This is due to complaints about customer service and shipping times.
Before taking CBD, ensure that your product is third-party tested: A certificate of analysis (COA) shows that a CBD product has been tested by a third party. COAs are available on the Charlotte’s Web website, but you’ll need a lot number to view them. You can also take a look at sample COAs for a few products before making a purchase.
